Kozysounds

Born in Yakima Washington, Nicholas Kozushko is a full time multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, and producer. He grew up in Portland, Oregon, but calls the entirety of the Pacific Northwest his home and his main source of inspiration. “The music that means the most to me resembles the same colours that I saw growing up; the dark green of the trees, the gray skies, and the deep blue of the Pacific Ocean. The constant rainfall was like a piano tapping away for me” Nicholas got his start in composing music after selling a jingle he wrote when he was 18 years old that went on to be licensed for commercial use by companies such as McDonalds, Nike, Microsoft, Bath and Body Works, and now several other companies. Now he has a large library of tracks, which are licensed regularly and can be found at companies like RnE Audio and Premium Beat. His music is a wide range of folk, country, indie, and pop with cinematic and ambient textures. He aims to elevate creators’ visual medium with the appropriate sonic textures and has an obsession for exploring new sounds with analog synths, pianos and guitars. When Nicholas isn’t composing, you can find him performing with his older brother, in a duet project called Bella Ruze, or you can find him rock climbing out in the mountains of California near LA where he currently resides.
